The School of Accounting convened a series of working meetings on the Assurance of Learning (AOL) system for AACSB International Accreditation

October 10–11, 2024, the School of Accounting held a series of working meetings on the AOL system for various degree programs. The meetings were chaired by Feiyang Liu, the AACSB International Accreditation Staff, and attended by the directors of each degree program and the instructors responsible for each course. The purpose of the meetings was to review the AOL assessment work of the past academic year and to plan and arrange for the upcoming assessment activities.

At the meeting, Feiyang Liu first reviewed the overall progress of the AOL assessment and introduced the specific tasks that the directors of each degree program and the course leaders needed to complete in the final phase. These tasks mainly included: proposing improvement measures based on the AOL assessment data, writing course analysis reports and degree program analysis reports; after the school's Teaching Steering Committee reviewed the assessment reports of each degree program, implementing the improvement measures and entering the next round of data collection. The meeting emphasized that the improvement measures for each course should be formulated according to the actual situation of the course to ensure their relevance and uniqueness. The Accreditation Office will continue to follow up on the implementation of the improvement measures for each course to complete the "closed loop" operation of the AOL system. Finally, the meeting pointed out that the AOL assessment work for this semester will be carried out as planned according to the previously established scheme.

Currently, our school has entered a critical period of AACSB International Accreditation and is preparing to submit the Initial Self-Evaluation Report (iSER). The convening of this meeting has further clarified the subsequent work tasks, enhanced the collaboration among different degree programs and among faculty, and promoted the effective operation of the Assurance of Learning (AOL) system.
